Jamie Sandell

Jamie is a registered psychologist with experience providing psychological assessment and evidence-based intervention for children and adolescents, with complex developmental, behavioural, and mental health presentations. Jamie has experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental presentations including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectual disability, and trauma-related difficulties within multidisciplinary settings.
Supporting Children With Complex Developmental Needs
Jamie provides comprehensive assessments, therapeutic intervention, and collaborative support for children and families across home, school, and community environments. His clinical approach is informed by developmental, behavioural, and trauma-informed frameworks, with a strong focus on practical, family-centred care.
His special interests include Autism and ADHD, emotion regulation difficulties, anxiety, behavioural assessment and formulation, and supporting children with complex developmental and psychosocial needs.
- Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) from Monash University, and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
- Jamie has experience working within the NDIS in both a psychology and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) role, and facilitating mindfulness programs for children.
- Jamie is known for using metaphors, stories, engaging visuals and drawing pictures to help children and families understand tricky concepts and strategies in his sessions.
